Goshen Cardiology welcomes Dr. Dunnick
GOSHEN, Ind. - James Dunnick, MD, FACC, has joined Mark Smucker, MD, FACC, at the newly opened Goshen Cardiology, located at 1122 Professional Drive.
Together they will offer comprehensive cardiovascular services, providing patients with a broad range of services, including the treatment of congestive heart failure, hypertension, arteriosclerosis and peripheral vascular disease.
Dunnick is an Indiana resident, returning to his hometown of Goshen. He has practiced Cardiology for 20 years and specializes in heart disease in women, preventive cardiology, congestive heart failure, hypertension, and cholesterol problems, and he has been doing lectures and presentations on many of these topics.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dunnick has presented original research at national cardiology meetings, published articles and authored a chapter on athletes and sudden death in a sports medicine education textbook. He has also been an invited lecturer across the country on cardiovascular disease topics.
He was president of his prior medical staff in Lake Charles, Louisiana and medical director of the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic, Nuclear Cardiology Department and Cardiac Exercise and Rehabilitation Center.
Dunnick is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Dunnick graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Butterworth Hospital in Michigan and his Cardiology Fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
