For immediate release: Nov. 25, 2008
GOSHEN,Ind. – From busy parking lots and crowded shopping centers to a packed holiday calendar that has you hosting or hopping from one social gathering to the next, for some the holiday season can be more stressful than cheerful.
On Dec. 11, Goshen Health System will offer useful advice and tips to those looking to cope with holiday stress.
Join Dr. Aroop Banerji on Thursday, Dec.11 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for “Managing Holiday Stress” at Martin’s Supermarket in Goshen on US 33. The class will be held in the upstairs section of Martins’ Side Door Deli.
Dr. Banerji will lead participants in a discussion on managing stress throughout the holiday season. He will address risks and the potential impact that stress can have on your health, as well as offering holistic, stress-relieving techniques that can be done at home.
Rounding out the session will be Norma Monik, Healthy Generations Fitness and Nutrition Coordinator, who will teach participants about the benefits of stretching as a stress relief aid.
In addition, a stress relieving massage from The Retreat Women’s Health Center will be raffled away to a lucky participant. This event is free and open to the public.
