Circle of Caring Birthplace
The Place for New Beginnings
It's difficult to describe how special the birth of your child is - full of challenges and joys, waiting and welcoming. The place where you give birth should be just as special. At the Circle of Caring Birthplace at Goshen General Hospital, our facilities and care are designed around you.
"Suite" Comfort
Little extras like rocking chairs, convertible beds for dad, private bathrooms with showers and TV/VCRs, along with our soothing decor, help you feel at ease. In a Circle of Caring birthing suite, you have all the benefits of a safe, hospital delivery with all the comforts of home.
Family-Centered Care
The birth of a child is a major event for the whole family. The Circle of Caring's family-centered approach accommodates and encourages participation by all family members - whether it's being present during delivery or visiting the newest family member.
Our care centers on keeping parents and baby together. In addition to participating in the delivery, dad is welcome to stay the night. Both mom and baby are cared for by one nurse (per shift) in order to provide support to both new and experienced parents. A nursery is also available if you need a rest or your baby has special needs. You can have your baby in your room with you as much as you desire. You also determine how much privacy and visitation you want.
This unique approach that keeps you in one room as a family throughout your stay allows you to fully enjoy one of the most precious moments in time - the birth of your child.
