K. Thomas Wagner

Orthopedic Surgeon

A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Wagner’s considerable experience makes him one of our highly esteemed colleagues. He attended college in Indiana at the University of Notre Dame and completed medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. His residency was completed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Wagner’s devotion and drive have afforded him many unique opportunities in both leadership and research.

He served as the chairman of Quality Assurance and president of the medical staff at Northwestern Medical Center in Vermont. Contributing well over a decade of service at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County in Virginia, he spent time as president of its board, as well as the medical staff ’s president. From 2000 to 2002, he served as chairman of the department of surgery.

Among Dr. Wagner’s many accomplishments, he’s credited for reorganizing the QA, Utilization Review, Infectious Disease and Health Information Management into the QAPI Committee and then leading the effort as chairman for eight years. He has been actively involved in management seminars and is a member of various medical boards including the American Medical Society, the Patrick Henry Medical Society, the Indiana Medical Society and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
